The PUMA LaMelo Ball MB.06 Puerto Rico is bringing island pride to LaMelo Ball’s signature sneaker line. Unveiled alongside the matching LaFrancé “Puerto Rico”, the special-edition release celebrates Puerto Rico’s deep-rooted basketball culture with vibrant colors, premium details, and an island-first launch.
Rather than opting for a traditional global rollout, PUMA Hoops is introducing the sneaker through a dedicated celebration in Puerto Rico before expanding the release worldwide later this year.
The PUMA LaMelo Ball MB.06 Puerto Rico draws inspiration from the island’s coastline with a striking gradient upper that transitions from soft sky blue to rich royal blue.
Red accents add contrast throughout the design, while holographic detailing on the tongue highlights the Puerto Rican flag. LaMelo’s signature “Rare” and “One of One” graphics return across the upper, reinforcing the bold identity that has become synonymous with his signature line.
Beyond its eye-catching design, the MB.06 is engineered for performance on the hardwood.
A responsive midsole supports quick movements in every direction, while the translucent rubber outsole delivers reliable traction for sharp cuts, explosive takeoffs, and fast-paced play. The silhouette continues the performance-first approach that has defined LaMelo’s signature series with PUMA.
Instead of debuting through a standard retail launch, PUMA is giving Puerto Rico the first opportunity to purchase the sneaker.
The PUMA LaMelo Ball MB.06 Puerto Rico launches on July 31, 2026, during the Jangueo en Bayamón event and at select PUMA retailers across Puerto Rico. A wider global release is expected to follow in September 2026.
Launching alongside the MB.06 is the LaFrancé “Puerto Rico”, giving fans both a performance model and a lifestyle option inspired by the island.
