The JJJJound PUMA Mostro Black White is finally making its way beyond Friends & Family circles. After initially surfacing as an ultra-exclusive collaboration, the understated sneaker is set to receive a limited public release through a PORTER Omotesando raffle in Tokyo.
Marking the third collaboration between the Montreal design studio and PUMA on the iconic Mostro silhouette, the latest colorway continues JJJJound’s signature minimalist approach with premium materials and subtle detailing.
Unlike louder collaborations, the JJJJound PUMA Mostro Black White keeps things intentionally understated. The sneaker swaps bold colors for a clean grayscale palette while upgrading the construction with elevated materials.
Premium suede wraps the upper, complemented by a smooth leather lining that gives the shoe a more refined feel. JJJJound branding appears discreetly on the insoles, while the Mostro’s signature Velcro strap remains untouched, preserving the silhouette’s unmistakable profile.
This latest release follows JJJJound’s previous navy and brown Mostro collaborations. While those pairs showcased earthy tones, the new black-and-white version strips everything back for a versatile monochrome finish.
As with many JJJJound projects, the appeal lies in the subtle refinements rather than dramatic redesigns, allowing the craftsmanship and materials to take center stage.
Originally believed to be exclusive to friends and family, the sneaker is now receiving its first public launch through PORTER Omotesando in Tokyo.
The raffle is currently open ahead of the official in-store release on August 1, giving sneaker enthusiasts a rare opportunity to secure one of the collaboration’s most sought-after colorways.
At the time of writing, neither JJJJound nor PUMA has confirmed whether the release will expand beyond Japan.
