PIETER MULIER TAKES FINAL BOW AT ALAÏA FW26, HEADS TO VERSACE

Pieter Mulier has closed his chapter at Maison Alaïa with his FW26 collection, presenting a farewell show defined by understated elegance, meticulous tailoring, and refined silhouettes. Known for his ability to merge subtlety with craftsmanship, Mulier’s final collection reflected the sophisticated DNA he cultivated during his tenure at Alaïa.

The presentation also marks the start of a new chapter: Mulier will be joining Versace, a move confirmed in early February 2026. This transition follows the $1 billion USD sale of Versace to the Prada Group announced in 2025 and positions Mulier at the center of one of fashion’s most watched creative shifts.

In his new role at Versace, Mulier will reunite with longtime collaborator Raf Simons, who currently leads Prada, signaling a new alignment of creative leadership across iconic luxury houses.

Mulier’s departure from Alaïa closes a chapter of precise elegance and measured sensuality, while his move to Versace promises a fresh, ambitious approach that blends his refined tailoring with the bold identity of the Italian house.
