Rapper Latto has teamed up with Apple Bottoms, the iconic fashion brand originally launched by Nelly, to drop a limited-edition capsule collection that is equal parts throwback and modern statement.
Launching in early August 2025, the collection features 16 pieces that channel Y2K nostalgia through a fresh lens. Key highlights include cheetah print stretch pants, plush velour tracksuit sets, low-rise denim jeans, velour jackets, tube tops, and rhinestone embellishments throughout.
Latto described the collaboration as a full-circle moment. “Apple Bottoms was a staple in the culture … now it’s my turn to bring that feeling back — but louder,” she said. The collection is designed to celebrate curves, confidence, and unapologetic femininity, everything that Apple Bottoms has always championed.
On Apple Bottoms’ side, the partnership was organic: the brand revived in 2024, and Latto reached out to collaborate because of her genuine affinity for their early 2000s aesthetic and her own fashion identity.
Fashion-wise, the collection is a head-nod to the early 2000s hip-hop era. Essence notes that it brings back the signature low-rise jeans and vibrant, bold sets that made the original Apple Bottoms a hit, but injects a contemporary edge through Latto’s personal style.
From a cultural lens, this collab is about more than nostalgia, it’s about legacy. Apple Bottoms was once a core brand for celebrating Black female bodies and urban style. Latto’s take is a “cultural reset,” positioning the brand for the next generation of fashionable, outspoken women.
