Grace Ling’s Spring/Summer 2026, titled “Future Relics,” leans into an aesthetic of tension, between antiquity and futurism, strength and decay. Lace-like distressing, scorched textures, glitch effects, and burn-marks unravel on fabrics that shift from opaque to sheer, exposing glimpses of form beneath. These raw treatments contrast sharply with razor-sharp tailoring: sculpted blazers, pillar skirts, structured trousers, and belted coats that hold the chaos in check.

Adornment in this collection feels deeply symbolic. Grace Ling resurrects relics of the past such as keys, padlocks, antique combs, even knife motifs, as hardware, accessories, or unexpected fastenings. Nature, too, creeps in: wilted floral bags, vertebrae knitwear, and a couture finale shaped like a tree branch evoke cycles of decay and regeneration. The overall effect is a portrayal of a woman both fragile and fierce: equally heir to history and a manifesto for the future.
