JT IN CUSTOM MOWALOLA AT MAIDEN VOYAGE FESTIVAL

City Girls’ JT lit up the Maiden Voyage Festival stage in a daring Mowalola ensemble that felt like a glamorous throwback to the golden era of 1990s hip-hop, think Lil’ Kim meets Foxy Brown, with a futuristic Mowalola twist.

JT’s stage outfit featured a sculptural bra top and matching flared pants, both clad in an airbrushed pink leopard print, a visually arresting nod to glamor and grit. The high-shine, fierce print echoed vintage diva vibes while honoring Mowalola’s signature blend of raw sensuality and bold rebellion. Completing the look: a police-style cap, tilted just so, adding a commanding, roleplay-infused energy, and crystal-embellished heels that caught light with every confident stomp across the stage.

This performance marks yet another creative touchpoint between JT and Mowalola: the designer previously directed the visuals for JT’s standout single “OKAY”, visually aligning the rapper’s bold persona with Mowalola’s avant-garde aesthetic. They also teamed up earlier for the Beats by Dre x Mowalola campaign, where JT fronted the shoot for Mowalola’s headphones fusion, melding music iconography and Mowa’s boundary-pushing visual identity.

Together, they’ve built a visual language that’s unapologetic, sensual, and rooted in the energy of Black female rap royalty. This latest moment proving, once again, that when they join forces, the fashion hits as hard as the music.
