New York rap duo Clipse, Pusha T and Malice, have teamed up with streetwear label Paper Planes to release a bold new merch line titled “Culturally Inappropriate”, marking another chapter in their Let God Sort Em Out era.
The collection includes two T-shirt designs in black or white, each emblazoned with the phrase “Culturally Inappropriate” on the chest and the Clipse logo on the back. A standout piece is the New Era Old School 9FIFTY snapback, featuring the Paper Planes logo at the front, Clipse and New Era branding on the sides, and a large “VIRGINIA” embroidery on the back, a nod to the brothers’ hometown and legacy.
This merch follows their album Let God Sort Em Out, which marked Clipse’s return after a 16-year hiatus. Earlier this year, they announced a series of creative projects, including limited editions with artists like Josh Sperling and collectible drops like the Paper Planes tee and cap. Clipse teased the merch drop via a video featuring their logo and the phrase “Culturally Inappropriate”, with the instrumental from their lead single Ace Trumpets playing in the background.
The buzz around this release has been immediate, on social media, fans reflected on the duo’s unapologetic attitude and cultural roots, while others flagged its deliberate irony in naming and design approach. Reddit users correctly identified the drop as a merchandise collaboration, not a new music release, despite early speculation to the contrary.
Priced between around $68 USD and $75 USD, the merch is available now exclusively via the Paper Planes webstore.
