NEWCASTLE UNITED AND ADIDAS UNVEIL EXCLUSIVE SAMBA TRAINERS FOR THE 25/26 SEASON

Newcastle United and adidas are kicking off the 25/26 football season with a bold sneaker drop that mixes sport, culture, and legacy. The two have teamed up to release a limited edition of the classic adidas Samba silhouette , tailored specifically for Newcastle fans who live and breathe black and white.

The release comes as part of adidas’ ongoing collaboration with football clubs to tap into lifestyle and streetwear spaces beyond the pitch. The iconic Samba gets reimagined with details that pay tribute to the Magpies, like the black and white colourway to the club branding woven into the tongue and heel.

Visually, the trainers stay true to Samba’s roots. Premium leather upper, suede overlays, and a gum sole. But what makes this pair stand out is how it reflects Newcastle’s return to adidas after some years apart. The design is clean, nostalgic, and unapologetically club first.

Fans will get first dibs through early access on Mags+, available only to those who sign up before 5 PM on Tuesday, July 29. The wider general sale follows on Thursday, August 7 and given the hype already building, pairs are expected to move fast.

This drop follows a recent trend in football-focused collabs where clubs work closely with sportswear giants to build off-pitch presence through exclusive apparel and footwear. With adidas also partnering with Arsenal, Manchester United, and others, the brand is clearly investing in its football lifestyle audience and Newcastle’s latest Samba is a strong entry into that lane.
