Nike is revisiting one of its most nostalgic archive designs with the re-release of the Nike Country belt buckle. Originally introduced in the early 2000s and inspired by a 1970s graphic, the belt is back this summer with a fresh lineup that brings together vintage attitude and western styling.
The “Nike Country” logo was first created in 1976 by early Nike employee Geoff Hollister as a nod to the brand’s Pacific Northwest roots. Although the original sketch was lost, it was redrawn in 1978 and again in 2003, when the buckle was first released as a limited accessory. Since then, it’s gained a cult following among collectors and fans of Nike’s lesser known archive pieces.
For this 2025 drop, Nike is introducing three different belt styles, a black leather belt with a silver “Nike Country” buckle, a brown leather version with a gold buckle, and a black leather belt with a rhinestone-studded buckle. Each belt features floral western-style embossing along the strap.
The belts are priced between $75 and $95 USD, depending on the style. Nike will also release a three-piece buckle set on the same date. The full collection launches on July 30, 2025, and will be available on Nike.com . Whether you’re buying it for fashion or nostalgia, this belt is shaping up to be one of the brand’s more unexpected summer highlights.
